Being one of very few who said we would spit the bit today, let me go early and predict the Red Wolves will give us a whippin a la UNT style as we prove first games in the road vs lesser competition just doesn't suit us.

I cannot disagree with this. ASU has developed a pretty good program. They have been one step ahead of our program and done it with lesser facilities, small town environment, several coaching changes, and need to overcome adversity on many occasions and have done so. Now they have a stable coaching situation (assuming he stays), and they have a substantial donor that continues to upgrade the program. They kicked our butt last time we went there, so hopefully we will prepare properly and not screw the pooch as we did against NTSU.

Not disagreeing that it will be tough... after all, they did win at Tulsa this year.

That said, our expectations for that schedule in year 2 should be 7-5. All of our home games are very winnable.

It is so sad we are in a place where we have to play at Arkansas State

And I thought 2017 was challenging. That is a sad home schedule that will be difficult to generate season tickets against.

Having TCU / Houston / Navy either all home or all away is No Bueno.

Absent NTSU, is there even 1 game that will generate 15k without without some serious marketing?

If not for a hurricane, Miami would have played there last year.

Miami used that as an excuse and got sued by A State.

Next year's team had better be tough at Ford, because they could easily go 0-6 on the road. I'm in agreement with those who think we lose the opener at Arky State. Like it or not, their program is ahead of ours right now and they are coming off another 8-4 season with 3 of their 4 losses on the road.

We don't want to go up to Arkansas state for their season opener. It will end up like last time we went up there, we got run out of the stadium. Little Ricky Hart, should be working on a buy out now and get us a winnable home 7th game.
