Very strong words regarding our kickers. Said wasn't confident is taking field goals all year and complained the blocked kick was too low. Called out both of them.

Now we know why he went for it so many times on 4th down all year. Kickers on the recruiting agenda.

After being at the game...

1. The players and coaches waltzed into that over glorified high school stadium at Tulsa like a win was inevitable - ridiculous, no intensity, no grit, and no winnable game plan. Plus, we were out played by lesser talent and out coached.

2. Scholarships (Hicks and Kickers) need to be pulled and ALL coaches need to be evaluated and some terminated now to send a message to the team that your spot is earned not granted.

3. SMU fans traveled well yesterday - so don’t say anything about a lack of fan support because the team had it.

4. Did our cheerleaders miss their bus yesterday? No cheerleaders, no Pom girls, and no pep band. Inexcusable.

5. It was not the gut punch that the NCAA tourney was, but we can do much better.

Maybe we do belong in the FCS or lower then. One would think a P6 school would travel spirit squads to a game within bus distance!

Bowl games every year are the minimum expectation that is being put forth from the staff, and the performance yesterday was completely unacceptable. Hopefully this sticks in the gut of everyone on the team and coaching staff in off-season workouts.

I absolutely love coach Dykes' interview. Not that he needed a reminder, but it sounds like the game only underscored the fact that there is a ton of work still to do in the growth of the program.

Yeah that’s a great idea, pull the scholarship of your most viable option at qb who is the all time leader in every passing category because he had a bad game. Let’s run off good assistant coaches because they didn’t have the team ready for one game!
