I've always felt the American is a hybrid Conference USA save the recent success of UCF / Memphis - . USF

If one, especially two bolt, then there will be no deal to sign.

What is UCF going to do, join BYU as an independent?

They were an independent for 6 years.
They beat Alabama too! They were always playing Big Time football schools. They got the paycheck but they did need a conference.

They would fit nice into the Atlantic Coast Conference.


uh..no. we have a better chance of ACC then UCF. Florida State wants no competition, and UCF's academics make Houston look like Harvard. That wont matter to many but it does to the ACC presidents.
