6 kickers...is that normal?

The 2018 roster lists two punters and four placekickers.

I really don't know what a standard compliment of kickers is on a college team, but that seems kinda high, doesn't it?

Have you seen our kicking the last decade?

One Kicker and one punter. What I like about Dykes is COMPETITION.

With further reference to our kickers and the number of walk-ons they average less than six feet tall and less than 190 pounds as a group. I won't try to figure those numbers for linemen including TEs and DEs but I'm betting that there are a lot more students enrolled who would suit up and try out as a kicker than there are potential linemen even if they measure say, 6-3 and 270.

I wish we had more of the latter - the size player that BUS likes - with the ability to walk on and earn a place as linemen. Sometime the metrics are there but health prevents. Maybe they suffered a knee or neck injury and had to hang it up. I was in school with a great big guy who perhaps could have played except he was badly asthmatic and much affected by exercise.

And I don't know - maybe one of the walk ons has a special pooch kick that HCSD will use some day.

And maybe recruiting will take care of our kicking and other problems.

GO PONIES.

We do have a pretty good Soccer program? Who has the logo of the girl kicker from the movie? Movie was good and she looked nice enough but her kicking motion was way weak to really kick.

BIG MEN
Just counted and I like what I see.
22 big men for O-line and DT. Then a plus to have 265 range guys at DE.

I have a weight limit of 270 to be a Big Man. So, the 265 in speed rush alignments are great to have.

Really looking forward to seeing the DT rotation grow/expand next year. Would love to have fresh bodies cave and crash the QB. Own the Line baby.

We will be just fine at QB. Saving for bowl game already!!!
