Media was dismissed fairly quickly from Friday's practice, but we did get to see about 30 minutes — some of which was spent stretching. Some observations from what we did see:

• When the team went to live, full-contact 11-on-11 drills, Hayden Howerton, who has gotten some snaps at guard, was back at first-team center. Kadarius Smith got first-team snaps at left tackle.
LB Richard Moore was among the players held out; in his place, Jordon Williams "started" at middle linebacker.
• The offensive star of the live (11 on 11) drills was WR Reggie Roberson, who caught two touchdowns — one on a post route in front of CB Sam Westfall and another when he beat CB Terry Keys on a corner route. Later in the drill, a pass to Roberson was underthrown by QB Derek Green — Westfall stepped forward for the interception, only to have it skip through his hands and directly to Roberson.
• The defensive play of the "scrimmage" portion media got to see was turned in by CB Justin Guy-Robinson. WR Judah Bell caught a short screen pass on the left side, and as he turned upfield, Guy-Robinson blasted into Bell, knocking the ball free right in front of the defensive reserves, who went a little crazy celebrating the play.
• The defensive line has seen a little shuffling this spring. Getting first-team snaps Friday were LDE Gary Wiley (who looks substantially bigger than he did last season, LDT Chris Biggurs, RDT Pono Davis and RDE Tyeson Neals.
• Also among the injured observers was Treveon Johnson, who worked with the receivers in 2018 but has been with the defensive backs this spring. Johnson is on crutches and wearing a protective boot on his right leg.
