SMU has done virtually nothing to promote the game which tells me it is not important to them.

No updated information on the website about concessions or activities. It still talks about inflatables in the south end zone.

No gameday posts today. Nothing on social media today.

The fact the game isn't in Ford means they aren't planning on making it a big deal - which is fine if that's what they want, but it sure doesn't seem like a good way to get more people interested in your program to me which I still find sad. Just my opinion.

Spring game was awesome

For a rescheduled event... I was super impressed with the turn out. There were at least 100 - 120 or so at Dr. Turner's Hilltop/Presidents Society function in the Club.

Then to go outside and see thousands standing around the field to watch live plays. Not a game but good competition.

OK, here the most impressive part. Moving the day and time we still had hundreds of recruits there. Literally, everywhere you looked you saw the lanyard on some young prospect. I met three coaches that brought kids.

All in all a very good turnout.

Agree with SMUpony94 and Bus. Great atmosphere last night and very enjoyable.

So much more intimate on the practice field. Made you feel a part of the whole thing. It was excellent.

Yeah everything ended up working out pretty well!!!

And to be fair in response to my earlier criticism maybe SMU actually has a good read on the interest in the program so they intentionally didn't publicize it too much since they knew 8-10k in attendance would potentially overwhelm Pettus.

I hope they sold a lot of season tickets and I can't wait for the season!
