Mustangs Set For Conference Summer Kickoff And Media Days
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (The American/SMU) -- Head Coach Sonny Dykes will be joined by three student-athletes at the 2019 American Athletic Conference Summer Kickoff and Media Days, July 15-16, in Newport, Rhode Island. Offensive lineman Hayden Howerton, safety Rodney Clemons and linebacker Richard Moore will represent SMU.
Live coverage will begin Monday at 6 p.m. CT, as the American Digital Network originates from the event's signature New England-style clambake. Hali Oughton will be joined by Andy Katz and Andy Gresh for coverage.
Coverage continues Tuesday on the American Digital Network with the announcement of the conference's preseason media poll. Commissioner Mike Aresco will give his annual remarks at 8 a.m., while Verne Lundquist will moderate a series of roundtable discussions with The American's head coaches as well as a student-athlete panel.
ESPN3 will air a two-hour program from Newport as well Tuesday afternoon at 12 p.m. Matt Schick and Rene Ingoglia will anchor the coverage, which will include interviews with all 12 head coaches, as well as Commissioner Aresco.
