6-6

Win the Poulan Weed-Eater Bama-lama-flimflam Bowl for 7-6.

One "major" win (TCU/UH/USF) and one "ugh" loss (NTSU/Arky Lite/2-lane) mixed in...

Just don't see the major shift yet...next year is the 8-4 year...

I particularly like Bob Sharp inviting the UT fans to SMU games to watch him. The right level of desperation!

Just the number of responses tells you all you need to know about how different our fan bases are

No doubt about it. I've always tried to defend our attendance vs the big public schools by arguing they have 5-6 times the students/alumni as SMU...but then we roll out 8,000 for a game and my argument looks weak, at least compared to Texa$ and A$M

Its a valid argument. A&M has more students on campus than we have alumni living in Dallas.

Not to mention the "Tee-shirt" fans who attended neither one.

Well there is no excuse for us not to make more of an effort to attract those T-shirt fans!

Certainly appears to be part of Sonny's plan to rebuild the program, but have to field a winning program 1st before the casual sports fan in Dallas is going to support SMU. Just look back at the attendance issues we had even in our pre death penalty days with a top 10 program
