Some pretty good opportunity games for AAC teams with Cincy taking on UCLA, Memphis has Ole Miss, Tulsa at Michigan State, Houston vs Oklahoma, USF vs Wisconsin and ECU vs NC State

Who will step up and make some noise for the AAC?

This is the year the sanctions actually cripple Ole Miss and this is Memphis' game to lose. The Tigers should beat the Rebels by 10 to 14.
Tulane should beat FIU and Cincy should also have the advantage over UCLA, but after that it's some reach games. Houston and USF will have the talent to make it interesting but will understandably be underdogs.

Vegas doesn't think it will be close.

Good opening day for the AAC with all who played last night winning their games. Most noteable was Cincy beating UCLA 24-14. Nobody else played a P5 opponent, but UCF's 62-0 game at least gets people's attention and Tulane beat FIU 42-14, a margin that may have been beyond what most would have expected.

And UConn won the only game they probably will this year. Barely.

USF and Tulsa go 0-2 against the P5 tonight. Tulsa finishes the game with 80 total yards of offense with minus 73 yards of rushing and 8 first downs but only lose 28-7. USF finishes with 157 total yards with 26 yards rushing the ball and 9 first downs while getting blown out 49-0.

Charlie Strong moving up on the coaches hot seat list after his new OC's stellar debut. I feared having to travel to Tampa to play USF this year but right now that is looking like it could be one of the easier road games on our schedule. We will know more after tonight.

Man that was brutal. We've taken some lumps from some top programs but nothing even close to that recently. I like our chances in Tampa. Hopefully we'll be healthy then.

AAC did O.K. with wins against PAC 12 and SEC but Mountain West wins the G5 conference of the week with Boise beating FSU, Wyoming over Missou, Hawaii over Zona and Nevada over Purdue. Really good week for them.

A very good week for the MWC, but not bad for SMU, since we were the only AAC team to win as an underdog! Houston and Tulsa's tasks were just too much to overcome, but USF??? Embarrassing.
