Instant replay, different result

Early turnovers, basically a pick 6, and Denbow kicked out.

Just about a replay of what happened against UNT last year.

This team, however, was mentally strong enough and good enough to fight back despite everything running against them and pick up a solid road win.

That is a great sign for the rest of the season.

We had 2 sacks and 7 TFL, they had 1 and 5 (and a very good d-line). I would say overall, the OLine played better than expected, and the DLine maybe not as consistent as we thought.

We will fix the drops. And it will be interesting to see how much 5 steps up, or a replacement, after getting picked on.

But the mental toughness is a huge deal. I'm looking forward to the rest of the year.

A couple of takeaways from the game...

Buechele has a quick release...far quicker than recent QBs...

O-Line is a work in progress....and needs a lot of work...2 TE sets were not effective in providing a push for the running game...

Mental toughness is a definite advantage, and seemed to be on the upswing...

We have receivers...better than decent receivers. They will help carry us through some lean spots...

NTSU is going to be a knife fight in a phone booth...

Kicking and special teams are going to need to be addressed...again.

Agreed, like Sonny said, it's a step. A championship team though scores TDs not field goals. Should have won by 3 TDs. I'll take it and is definitely a step in the right direction for sure.

That Rice TE transfer is legit.
