Sam Blum / DMN

Postby PK » Sun Sep 15, 2019 9:23 am

We have often bitched about the DMN not giving us any coverage. Their new SMU beat writer, Sam Blum, is working over time. Last week there was an SMU article every day and almost as much the week before. It's almost like we are the Dallas home team. He has done a great job giving us some relevance. Go Sam!
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

If the DMN would just move politically to the center, I might think of renewing my subscription!.

I don’t like Blum. He seems to go out of his way to find reasons to take potshots at SMU.

Great to see the Dallas uniforms making such a huge impact so quickly!

Glad to see the SMU coverage in the DMN!

What political posts? He isn’t posting, he is writing sports articles for the DMN.

Just cut this political bull [deleted] out...everyone! This is a sports site for SMU sports fans. Let's keep it that way. Jeez!

I’m not following here ECM. I’ve read them all and I can live with a potshot occasionally in exchange for the really great coverage. And yes, he is very responsive to emails. Sam.blum@dallasnews.com

Can't find the thumbs up button.

Monday morning paper - all about the Cowboys except full half page above the fold about T J McDaniel with large color photo on the back page. Nice job Sam. Thanks!

He had a Pete buttchug retweet - very disappointing that he supports that psycho.

Retweeting that moron Corbett Smiths demographic of highland park as being the reason for our low attendance.
