Yeah, I think we will all be saying a prayer for the mormons to do us a solid.

1pm CST for new AP rankings. I'll be shocked if they let us stay ahead of the Golden Gophers and da Bears.

Color me shocked if they actually drop atm out of the top 25 finally.

But, by law if one SEC team leaves the top 25, they must be replaced with another...

And Temple is on the board at #25.

We are #19 in both and as I guessed Baylor jumped us. Cincy moves up and notables: Tulane #26 and Temple #28.

Thought on the new rankings?

I think we will give voters some confidence. I think we will move to #17. Assuming Boise loses.

Baylor will be #14 and Minnesota #16.

Cincy will be #20 and Memphis will be #25.

I'd give anything to see us jump Texas, which coughed up 48 points while barely beating Kansas.

Agreed but we all know that fan popularity is baked in...

Minnesota won't jump us for beating Rutgers.

Outside of that, I agree

SMU has a shot at passing Boise St, Arizona St and Texas. Not that I even care about the polls, I just want to see us keep winning.
Might we get the short end of the stick if we go undefeated? Maybe, probably... but we will go bowling somewhere, and they cannot take wins away.

17. Texas (5-2, beat Kansas)

16. Minnesota (7-0, beat Rutgers)

15. SMU (7-0, beat Temple)

The word: Sam Ehlinger and the Longhorns battled through an unexpected tussle with Kansas in Austin, winning the game on a field goal as time expired, 50-48. Their spot in Sunday's Top 25 will be interesting to say the least ... Minnesota stayed unbeaten, one of three teams in the Big Ten without a loss, with a 35-point win at Rutgers. "They've been very mature during this whole process," Minnesota coach P.J. Fleck said. "It's my job to keep them grounded and focused. Today we're 1-0 in the Rutgers football championship. That's all that matters."

Ranking does not matter as long as we are the top G5. No way we (or any G5) make the playoff. Right now it looks like we will play in a bowl in the Dallas area. Either Cotton or Frisco. That should provide some incentive.

I said in a previous chat that BYU is the only game this would happen. Thankfully the overrated Broncos fell. They were predicted to walk through the trash MWC with ease.

Thank you Mormons!!
