I was a twinkle in my father’s eye. Hopefully, that eye saw Bobby Collins play for a tie against Arkansas and got p*ssed for me.

I see the home page has the title "bowl eligible" with a pic of Proche's winning catch, but hopefully we can move past getting to 6 wins as being significant. Would at least like to see this program get to a level where we can assume SMU will be playing in a bowl every year. Move on to the question of whether we can run the table, win an AAC Title and qualify for one of the big boy/big paycheck games against a Top 15 caliber P5 program. Given the way the NCAA has things structured, that might be the best we can ever hope for but thanks to last night's heroics, at least that dream is still alive for this season.

We in theory could go to the CFB as a G5 but it would require P5s in all of our OOC and our conference doing the same and taking care of business. Cupcakes on the schedule will always be their excuse regardless P5s doing it all the time.

I was 9. I was playing with my guys (GI Joe) and shooting my BB gun at the ranch.

In 1982 my alma mater was finally ending the longest losing streak in college football history. I went to most games 83-86 even though we were still really bad. There was definitely not a level playing field and but we naively thought it was just because of our high academic standards. I lived in Dallas during the DP and yes, I was bitter when I learned what had happened. But SMU has suffered more than enough. I'm happy to count myself as a fan today!
