It is the same game, just renamed and moved to Raymond James Stadium (where SMU played last week).

Granted it is still early, but those projections look off. I doubt they'd have a rematch of a regular-season game in the Orange Bowl. As for the AAC, they assume UCF will win the title over Memphis or SMU. Now that they lost to Cincinnati, is it even likely that UCF will win the AAC East?

Agree, this projection is lazy and stale.

One would think some of the bowls where P5 teams don't have enough eligible teams to fill out bowl spots would present a better competitor for a team like SMU. Imagine SMU is ranked and playing against a CUSA or Sun Belt team when there is an opening to play a P5 in a bowl like the Independence Bowl. Not a sexy place to play but if one wants some respect, one has to play the big boys every now and then.

Assuming we don't go 6-6, c'mon. Thankfully predictions this early are fairly meaningless. Surely they can give us a better bowl spot.

I still like the Birmingham bowl against Old Miss. Would love to play a p5 opponent.

I’ve seen Ole Miss, NC State, and Baylor in bowl matchups. All would be nice.

My wish is still an old SWC conference rival like Texas or TAM.

Cotton or bust. Longgggg road but if the ponies managed to go undefeated and win the conference, we'd most likely have 3 top 25 victories and Boise St would have 0. Surely we would jump them
