The ball wasn’t untouched on the goal line or in the end zone as per the rule cited above. It was touched before it got to the goal line. Therefore correct call.

Team A touched not Team B. I agree with OP, though not sure the rule has ever been tested like this that I can think of.

You're right about the rule cited. My bad. I do however still think it was a touchdown. I just rewatched it several times and the whole thing seems to have happened because Page and Sanders deferred to each other.

I don't think we'll ever see that one again. 13 points in one second of clock time.

Yeah, it looked like they both thought "I'll block and you'll get it" and neither blocked and neither got it.

Kinda surprised this was not on "you had one job"

The next segment airs Saturday, so there's a good chance this play will make it.

Kevin Kane indicates that the home office has concurred it was a wrong call. My apologies to Hubba for doubting you.

Just kidding, Hubba took over and carried the ball for me and I appreciate it.

Did they also explain how the refs couldn't figure out that zero on the clock is a penalty?

With all these officiating errors I feel like SMU should get credit for 3 wins for this game.

Now will the league explain how the refs missed throwing the flag for the delay of game?

And the officials not addressing the deceptive signals being done by Tulsa that Dykes told them to look for ending with 15 yards on Sonny for chastising them.
