Great reporting on how SMU has thoughtfully rebranded itself as Dallas’ Own. Being in Chicago, I wasn’t as aware of the many outreach programs. Although winning has been the biggest contributing factor, these Big D outreach efforts will help the city identifying us as their own.

Win and people will show up, watch, support, once that stops, so will the support (e.g., see men's basketball). No different than any other place.
