I have to admit, I am very nervous about this one. Without Reggie Roberson , the enormous bull's eye on our backs, and our 1st step on a big national stage… this is the biggest game since the death penalty.

Playing on a long week will definitely help. With Roberson I’d say SMU in a close one, but now I have no idea.

Th e Memphis defense wore down badly last night. If we can develop some consistency and long drives like we did against Temple, we should do just fine.

I think people are underestimating the effect of the short week. You could see it mentally as well as physically. If you are feeling pessimistic, go back and look at some Temple highlights to see what a rested team can do.

Thinking with a non-fan/betting mind, we will pick up our first loss and I think we will lose by 10.

As a fan and I truly pray we can make it over this hump but without Roberson and our safety is out the first half so it will be a huge challenge. The fan in me says that we can make quick strikes and just stay ahead of them but it will be another close one for a wild finish of:

Not sure I’m ready to make predictions on this one but the key will be to keep our O on the field...we didn’t do that with Houston and it nearly bit us. We did it against Temple and rolled them fairly handily.

Tulsa ran over 100 plays and ran all over the Tigers...I’d be content to dink and dunk down the field and run them ragged and turn it on in the second half. We do that and we win.

Edit: It was Delano Robinson who had a targeting call confirmed in the first half. I thought they have to miss the first half the following game?

Our QB (and other transfers) have played in big games on big TV before. Has Memphis? I think we'll be the composed team.

I see lead changes throughout the first half. Memphis ahead at the half, but SMU kicking it up in the 3rd.
