If its not the Cotton, which would folks prefer? Belk sounds good (drivable for me at least) and Liberty. Birmingham against uab doesn't sound all too exciting.

I think we are going to get a P5 team as long as we win of the next two games. 10-2 SMU should be able to lock in that V-tech matchup.

Alamo would be awesome - that's always a great game and San Antonio is a blast.

Belk would be great too, or Tampa for whatever they call the Beef O Bodden Bowl now.

Not likely, but could happen. Actually could be as many as 9. Only ECU and Tulsa mathematically eliminated and I assume a 6-6 Texas State would not get invited anywhere

That’s what is so impressive to me. This 9-1 record is a lot different than going 8-5 in Conference USA.

Half the teams in the country are bowl teams.
Just sayin’.

And that's the point here...SMU has mostly played the "upper half" of college football teams and is 9-1!

We also haven't played any FCS teams. We're a legit 9-1.

Literally any bowl vs a P5 opponent. But my order would be:

1. Cotton
2. Alamo
3. Liberty
4. Texas Bowl

Alamo would be nice, but it isn't an option. That's Big-12 vs. Pac-12 and it chooses from the 2-4 spots in both conferences. For a trade to happen, the bowl organizers would have to REALLY want SMU and the AAC would have to offer one of the conferences a suitable trade. As the Alamo is one of the highest paying non-CFB/NY6 bowl games, finding a suitable match is almost impossible.

Against Virginia Tech I’d take that.

God, I want nothing to do with the damned 'Belk' bowl.

They get that matchup they'll be playing in front of 30k in a city nobody cares about them in a bowl that may be the singularly WORST name in all of sports.
