This Saturday, November 30th at 7:30pm, the No. 8 SMU Men's Soccer team is playing No. 9 UCF at Westcott Field at the SMU Campus in Dallas, Texas in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Soccer Tournament for a spot in the elite 8.

The game is at 7:30pm CST, it would be great for all the fans coming from the football game to swing by and support the team.

Just a week ago, the Knights and Mustangs met in the American Athletic Conference championship match, with SMU prevailing 1-0 to earn its third-consecutive conference crown. In the regular season, SMU and UCF played to a 3-3 draw at Westcott Field on Oct. 6, with all six goals scored in the second half.

Next weekend will continue a season of firsts for the American Athletic Conference in men's soccer. 2019 marks the first year that multiple teams sit in the top 10 of the final coaches' poll, earned national seeds for the NCAA Championship and advanced past the second round.

The Mustangs now enter the Round of 16 for the third time since Kevin Hudson took the helm of the SMU program in 2015.

The Mustangs now look ahead to an AAC-title rematch with No. 9 seed UCF next weekend. SMU and the Knights have faced off three times this season, drawing the first match in the regular season and then with the Mustangs beating UCF just over a week ago, 1-0, to win the AAC crown.
