Several former Arkansas players, some of whom have played in the NFL, sent letters of support to Arkansas officials expressing support for Pittman"

By far the favorite pick out of all the speculation. Fans and players both are happy by far majority. Kind of surprising with a man without major college head coaching experience, but everyone likes him.

I am very worried about our North Little Rock OL commitment. He is our highest ranked recruit and this is probably the only coach that Arkansas could have gotten that could flip him. Hopefully we can get him signed in the early period.

Wasn’t Bielema noted for OL prowess? He was also a successful head coach at Wisconsin.

DisGRUNTled hog fans will tell you Bielema’s predecessor (Alvarez) was responsible for the Wisconsin success. But yes, Bielema was very run oriented with big O linemen. But that did not seem to translate well to the SEC when it was sacrificed for speed.

Bielema's downfall coincided with when Pittman left for Georgia. The OL has been one of the worst in college football ever since.

In 2015 under Bielema Arkansas was 2nd in the SEC in scoring and Brandon Allen broke a lot of Arkansas QB records. The offense wasn't as 3 yards and a cloud of dust as people assume. Sounds like Pittman will go with more of a power run RPO style offense instead of the old school pro style.
