Should someone tell 83 to CATCH the ball??

Postby Texasscout96 » Sat Nov 23, 2019 7:10 pm

The game is on the line. The ball hits him in the hands. Shouldn’t he be aware that he needs to CATCH the ball?

I wish SMU would give me a full scholarship to catch a football. I bet I would catch it!!

Had his gloves on in the rain. Those gloves get really slippery when wet. Still a top 6 receiving TE in yards

My husband hates when receivers wear gloves.

He has had some really good games but let’s not pretend he doesn’t have stone hands 50% of the time.

He has made many big plays for us, don't put this loss at his feet.

That is all.

He’s been great for us, but if he catches a pass in his hands we win.

C'mon, please nuke this thread. Not cool to call out a college player, especially in a headline. We blew a lot of plays...

Exactly

We lost, get over it, Navy was the better team. Look at the stats, and its amazing we only lost by 7.

[deleted] happens. 50% of the time he has stone hands? I guess with all his catches and TDs and yards, Shane must be having a horrible year because that is a lot of incompletions.

X fumbled. Shane missed open deep balls for the first time all year. 83 dropped a pass. Proche didn't come up with his crazy one handed catch to win the game. Every OL missed a block. Every defensive player missed a tackle. Stephens missed a diving interception.

This game wasn't on one player. Navy is a good team and we weren't good enough to win a tough road game. This was a team loss, and hopefully one they learn from for next year.

Playing - and losing - at Navy is evidently NOT something SMU learns from.
Had a week off before this one, while Navy got its brains beat in at ND.
Same story.

Wash, rinse, repeat, repeat, repeat. The midshipmen have high character and wanted it more than we did. Two weeks plus spring plus every Sunday plus plus plus. And we still made Perry look like an All American. Not ready for prime time. We performed well on the really big stage vs Memphis. We shxt our mess kit on little stage today. Players, coaches, etc - bad all way round.
