...With the SEC likely unable to fill its spot in the Texas Bowl, expect organizers to make a run at SMU (9-2) to get the Mustangs in that matchup with a Big 12 opponent. It would be well-attended locally and a win-win for everyone involved.

Wherever we go this season, my family will be there. After the season these young men have given us, they deserve to play in front of a crowd full of SMU fans regardless of where the game is played.

Watching this game right now I’m not sure we’d want to see Texas in a bowl. Texas can throw the ball.

One thing is certain about the Bowl situation...TCU and their sweaty coach get an early vacation.

The weekend is made complete if, and only if:

SMU wins BIG...
Baylor loses BIG...
ND takes the cheese by any score...
Florida State somehow wins...my bride will be happy this weekend..

That’s true, but if TCUs FR QB can move the ball against them we should at least score in bunches.

If we do end up in the Frisco Bowl and you live locally and don’t go because you don’t think the bowl is good enough, you are a piece of crap fan. Support your team. Period.

Birmingham Bowl (3 p.m. ET, ESPN)
SEC vs. American
North Carolina vs. SMU

The problem with this projection is UNC has to beat NCSU tonight to reach 6-6!

BS.
Facing Texas in a bowl would be perfect.
