I don’t care where it is as long as we get to play one of the big boys. 10-2 with multiple guys named to All-Comf. These team deserves the opportunity to make a statement.

Birmingham might afford the best opportunity for that to happen?

Texas Bowl and Independence Bowl do the same and would be new bowls for us.

If we can't get a match up against a P5 school, then I would be happy with the Independence Bowl. At least it has some history (started in 1976), 3 hours from Dallas, Shreveport has a decent Riverwalk with all the Casinos. The Horseshoe and Margaritaville are pretty nice and full of party potential.

Plus I have fond memories of Womack ripping up the Razorbacks at that stadium back in the 90s. Was a really good win for SMU back when wins were hard to come by.

We are not high of Frisco's wishlist. At all.

I was at that game and also have very fond memories . We had a very good Mustang crowd . Almost as many
Pony fans as Hog fans. Shreveport would be a very good spot for us to land !

The Independence Bowl, if it were to happen, is very likely to be a matchup against a P5 (ACC) school.

So the fact they lost to ranked teams on the road by one score means they aren't worthy?

It means that they are, at best, the 3rd best team in the conference. Many would probably look at records/results and count Cincinnati and potentially UCF as better as well. So the 4-5 best team in the AAC shouldn't get to whine they dont get "a shot at the big boys"...
