IS anyone else put off by the fact that SMU is only picked by 8 to beat a coachless conference USA team that is missig three starters? THIs is a much inferior opponent on their best day.

Nope. Road game. The team better approach this as a tough opponent.

Not at all. This is basically a road game against a team that played Ohio State as tough as anyone in the country and blew out a competitive UAB team in their conference championship game. I don't know what they have in terms of depth, but how often do we see a team that loses some of it's key players step up and play a great game? I hope all of you who think this game is a "gimme" are right but I will believe it when I see it...and I'm not bored and disinterested about this game like some claim to be.

Me either - I trust the team is as excited as I am on getting our 11th victory -

I'm not saying we should pencil it in as a win. I'm just saying that I would take SMU and the points. That's all

Coming into the stadium the team looked somber and determined. Good sign

And tons of complaints about how we should have been in a better bowl wah wah...

Would be a sad way to end a great season - especially with FAU not having 2 or 3 of their best players.

Not going to happen - the seniors will make sure of that

Guess our seniors stayed home?

The kool aid was good in sept/oct. I thought we would win by 14. Back to reality.

a great season, but wake me up...did we really lose 3 of our last 5 games?
this FAU without their coach & star players arse kicking is gonna hurt for awhile

It was a great season, IPP. Gameday during Prime-time was arguably our crowning achievement in FB over the past 30 years.

Having said that, for a little perspective....

We didn’t have Cincy or UCF on our schedule this year.
We played NTSU during a downturn year for them.
TCU had their 2nd worse W/L record in 15 years.
Houston had their worst W/L record in 15 years.
We barely escaped with a win vs. cellar dweller Tulsa at home.
We gave up 51 points to cellar dweller ECU at home.

Not to mention we won a very competitive opener at Arky State. This year's schedule was ful of games we could have just as easily lost as won, so we were pretty fortunate to come out with 10 wins. Next year will be very telling as to whether this program has truly taken a step forward. I'd be thrilled with another 10 win season but won't even pencil it in at this point.

I will give the tiki [deleted] this: he was very good at bowl game prep.

I really hope next year Sonny can get a win and start making this look like a top G5 program.

Love how Sonny is approaching the Transfer Portal / JC's, but his recruiting of HS talent has so far been a failure....IF our goal is to compete for AAC Championships.
