Note, TCU “successfully contested” the penalty, avoiding having wins vacated - something gutless SMU failed to do when our basketball team was robbed of an NCAA tourney berth.

Houston also had to vacate three wins from the 2018 season.

That $47,000 fine is a real deterrent to future potential violators.
What a f’in’ joke. The article does not say if it affects bowls or basketball post season. I assume it doesn’t.

Very slight punishment because they self reported and cooperated, admitting to these infractions. I never thought "vacating wins" was much of a punishment but funny they would appeal that part of the "punishment"

This is nothing more than a warning that they shouldn't bother trying to beat UT in Austin next year. Threatening the Horns is a sure warning sign that the NCAA is soon to follow.
