Athletic Dept. on Social Media

Is it just me, or has the quality of the athletic department's social media content improved dramatically this year?

I can't tell if I'm just noticing it more because I moved back to DFW from NYC over the summer and maybe I'm paying closer attention to the department overall, but it seems like the substance of the content, frequency of posts, and engagement with followers are all really solid. And I think it resonates with fans of all ages, as well as potential recruits.

Either way, I think it's a huge lift to the program overall and the folks who make that stuff happen deserve some recognition for their hard work.

Does each team have its own social media person? Or is it one person/group for the entire athletic department? If it's the latter, I would expect to see basketball get a lift now that fb season is over.

I know that football has it's own staff for such things, and they dont bleed over to other sports.

FWIW, the Mustang Club is way out front in some of their work. Just today I received a nice birthday card from them. First one I have received for my July birthday.Image
