OL ranking

We were #80 out of 130 according to this.

Notice Memphis and Navy were among the highest we faced (Temple was, too, but the OL doesn’t cover RR)

Interesting. A lot of room for improvement which can make us even better than this incredible season!

Our O-line wasn’t very good. Shane helped them a lot in passing and Xavier created a lot out of nothing. Lashlee’s ability to hide their inefficiencies and create a juggernaut despite no push was impressive.

JT is our best player, as they indicated. He is a guard at the next level because of his height. But I would expect him to take another step forward next season and become a 1st or second team all-conference player. His next step is to take the agility he shows as a top tier pass protector and add strength so that he can seal in the running game consistently.

Howerton is solid at LG. Aggressive, fights well. Not physically dominant, but an above average guard in the league. He is pretty much hit his ceiling, though.

Ali can make another step forward at center. Probably is a little above league average, but need to see him generate more of a push in the running game.

The right side of the line was below average this year. What we are going to want to see in Spring camp is if Ike can push for that starting RT spot. And if Tai Brooks, Shelmire, or the JUCO guard can come in and win at RG. We should be able to upgrade the right side of the line significantly, but we need those players to develop and be ready to compete.
