Congratulations to former SMU offensive tackle Tommy Poynter, who has been named football head coach and athletic director at Wills Point, Texas, according to an announcement by the WPISD.

Congrats - I used to rodeo out there in high school. Yes, Lake Highlands had a Rodeo Team.

I was an assistant coach at Wills Point about 15 years ago. That is a very interesting place to work. I'm sure the students are as talented now as they were when I was there. Congratulations coach on your new coaching position.
