Greatest Punter in SMU History

Thomas Morestad or Craig James or someone else? Craig James was a threat to fake and go to the house. Morestad the better punter (although James did average 44 yards). Simply for the value of the fake, I'll give it to James.

I think you might include Doak Walker in that group. I think he still has the school record for longest punt and he could always run or pass .

John Blackburn. The radio commentators blamed long run-backs on John purportedly "out kicking his coverage." He kicked a nice spiral punt with a lot of hang time.

Morstead is 3rd in NFL history in career average and he was hitting them like that in college.
