“With a pandemic nightmare looming in the fall, college leaders can still save football season”, according to Pete Thames of Yahoo Sports. His article reports that ...

“Three different Power Five coaches in three different leagues summed up the reality of a conventional and uninterrupted college football season this week as somewhere close to impossible.“

Based on the risks related to conducting a Fall College Football schedule and season, he suggests we consider an alternative.

I have the feeling that there IS a discussion about a Winter/Spring season going on. It will be tougher on the Northern teams (weather), but in the consideration of health and absences of quarantined player, it would look like a better option to me, especially with a vaccine on the horizon...
What are the other downsides I am not seeing?

It's definitely a possibility, and coaches and players are preparing like it will happen.
But it's by no means a guarantee. We're probably close to a month away from a final decision being made, and even then, things could change overnight the way things are going.

All of the suits sharted the bed on this one. Economy shuts down and people go jobless but they all made sure them and theirs got payed. Here's hoping that the NCAA stays greedy and players stay safe.

More and more I think 2020 is going to become the year that wasn't in both college and pro football.

The way things are going, everyday more and more college athletes and staff test positive. Despite all the planning and precautions that are being implemented, you have to think that there will be no college football this season, which is really going to stink.

I hope this is tongue in cheek, because, if were up to the Left, we would all be hiding under our beds.

Imagine starving a virus out and it not running rampant through a population. I know, it's silly but it's fun to think of fun scenarios kinda like football realignment and such.
