Still somewhat hoping we can replace SFA on the 12th.
Would Hawaii be enough of an upgrade over SFA to be worth a last-minute change?

Yes
If SMU was willing to play in Hawaii, I bet they could make the money work. However, I'm not sure how SMU could convince Hawaii to drop a home game and fly to Dallas with limited (or no) attendance. A network would have to pickup the game for it to make sense financially.

Hawaii (the state) is currently requiring any visitors have a negative COVID test within 72 hours of flying to their state which might present another issue for any teams going there to play.
