Ivy League Cancels Fall Sports!

Postby Insane_Pony_Posse » Wed Jul 08, 2020 4:22 pm

"The conference was expected to announce plans to play a condensed, conference-only football season during the Spring 2021 semester - what some thought could be a precedent-setting move as college athletics tries to work its way back to competition as COVID-19 cases spike nationally. But the conference has reportedly not committed to a spring football season, but only to leaving the possibility for one on the table"

I really hope this isn't the first domino to fall, but I have a bad feeling it is.

Ironically, Ohio State is on the path towards developing a breathalyzer test for Covid (along with UCLA and Israel). That technology is what would allow everything to re-open, if it becomes available in time.

not sure I am following this conversation,
wife and I took an antibody blood test June 23. they put a pin in your figure. within 10 minutes they tell you if you had the cononavirus

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nc ... sting.html

I guess a breathalyzer test is easier and perhaps faster.

If you are trying to walk into a bar, I don't care if you had the disease in the past.

All I want to know is if you are capable of spreading the disease to others right now.

You spread the disease by breathing, coughing, sneezing, singing, talking.

The breathalyzer indicates if you can give the disease to other people. In which case, you don't get into the bar. But everyone else can.

Make sense?

Get four of the antibody tests, and see if they match. Maybe you'll be like Joey Gallo and get two positives and two negatives in the same week.
