Need the Cougs to win this one.

I hesitate to say this, but I will be rooting slightly more for UH than I will for the refs...BU deserves any beating they get, by anyone that is there to give it to them.

Week 3 wasn't exactly open for us

It also helps to have the opposing team's AD be your former AD when they parted on good terms.

Three day turnaround probably killed it. Not just game prep but also with all the new COVID protocols if I had to guess. BU has been much more willing to play SMU than houston since the SWC broke up.

I agree that's got to be the reason SMU-Baylor in Week 2 didn't work.

MIND-BLOWER

Houston’s road trip to Baylor this Saturday (Noon EST, FOX) wasn’t booked until Sept. 12 – of this year. It’s yet another twist in a 2020 season where anything can and will likely happen. It also marks the first time the Cougars and the Bears have met since 1995, the final season of the old Southwest Conference. The two shared membership, and played consecutively, from 1976 (when the Cougars became football members) until the league disbanded.

If the game is played as scheduled, there will only be two reunions pending between the eight programs that were SWC members when the league dissolved – Houston and Texas A&M and SMU and Texas – both of which were also last played in 1995. Arkansas, which fled the SWC for the SEC in 1991, has yet to reunite on the gridiron with its old league pals Baylor, Houston, and Rice. https://fbschedules.com/breaking-down-w ... -schedule/

I remember Texas' former A.D. saying he would NEVER schedule SMU again as UT had nothing to gain but everything to lose...a pretty clear acknowledgement he feared SMU. Also interesting that A&M hasn't played Houston and as insult to injury they hired Kevin Sumlin after he was successul at Houston

Will always root against Baylor or Penn State after what both institutions allowed to take place.

Postponed because Baylor didn't meet Big 12 Covid safety standards.
