Looked like an ankle. They would not show the head on replay after the first time because it showed his foot turned in a very odd manner. The announcers said it was too grotesque to show again.

It definitely was ugly.

When he left on the cart, the trainers had removed his shoe and sock but no air cast. Maybe a dislocation rather than a fracture?

Participation chart from box score says # 57 Mike Williams played? I thought he had opted out. Wonder if he might become a factor on the DL this season AND get to play next year as well?

Biggest things about this game to me were Shane’s composure and will to win, we never folded when Memphis came roaring back, and Naggar’s knowledge that he was going to nail that kick.

Reminded me of number three Dennis Partee :!: :!: :!: :!:

I doubt students get on here as this forum is kind of a dinosaur like me but would be interested as to what they were told about the end zone.

I understand we are in a pandemic but the energy they brought in the first quarter plus was incredible.

We've tried for 50 years to get kids out to games. Incredible that in 2020 we are asking them to leave.

A costly win with 2 important members of the team likely lost for the season. Hope they recover well.

Don't know what the students were doing to get kicked out. A case of SMU enforcing the rules that nobody else is enforcing?

What an exciting game. Why so few posts on the board?

Sports illustrated and ESPN are conflicting. It sounds like the real story is they were told to get out of the grassy knoll and told to separate. Students denied and just left. Personally, the whole situation is dumb as COVID is hardly a problem especially for them. Now if we have to because of our conference or local regulation then I get it.

It is a problem. They spread it to all other age groups. Distressing that they have so little regard for others. Everyone by now knows what they should be doing to protect everyone.

Do they need to be given assigned seats? Wow, maybe SMU students aren't as smart as we thought they are.

He made a huge impact on the game, he moved the pile when he was in there. He will have more time to get in better condition before the Tulane game, will be a huge impact for our defensive line.

This is actually the selfish attitude. Students are being denied a normal college experience by people who are scared of a disease that is dangerous to a very small population - less than one half of one percent - and that at risk population can easily protect themselves instead of asking the world to stop for them.

Congrats to the D. They held a very explosive offense with a Sr excellent QB to 27 points Four turnovers (2 on back to back Memphis offensive plays). Four sacks and 7 TFL. The D was on game most of the first haf and all the second half. Game ball to the D.

With a very small amount of self discipline, it really isn’t hard to wear a mask. It’s disappointing so many don’t have the resilience and self discipline to take this simple step to stem the tide of the pandemic, and therefore help it persist. The scenes of the students crowded together without masks was a really ignorant look for the school, despite officials’ attempt to encourage safer game watching behaviors.
