FWIW, Tulane

Tulane has announced there will not be general public attendance at the SMU/TU game. Only a few players' families.

I would imagine most were not planning a trip to NOLA. If you did, find a nice place with a TV and enjoy.

Tune has struggled early, and UH has explosive plays...that are exploding on them.

Tulane's defense has been active and agressive.

Either team could be crushed by us, or give us headaches...that said, Go Green Wave.

Coogs throw 2 picks and still win by 18. BUT, Tulane is gonna be tough, because NOLA is our house of horrors, just like Annapolis. They've got some talent.

I was really, really impressed by Houston's offensive and defensive lines in that game. Tune isn't great, but he has playmakers at receiver and those lines will go a long way. They also have some players in the secondary. Houston is going to be a factor in a very deep AAC West. That game with BYU will be huge for them and the conference.

Tulane I was not that impressed with. They made a couple of plays on defense, but ended the game with less than 300 yards of offense. Their QB was really rattled, but we are going to need to put pressure on him. He could actually play to our strengths, because young QBs are often afraid to throw over the middle. They keep everything to the outside which is the strong part of our secondary.

Houston had 5 turnovers, Tulane had 0 and the Coogs still won by 18

Update alert!

TU has changed its mind and will allow more than players' families into the stadium for the SMU game. They will now allow the TU Marching band to not march but stand in the stands. The 'Shockwave' whatever the_ that is, and The Cheerleaders to stand in the stands. Should make for a hostile playing environment now that the stadium that holds about 9000 will be >1/10 full.
