I see SMU is now favored by 13, but even that is shocking.

Last time I checked we have played them 10 times in the Johnson/Niumatololo era and our only win was by a single point. While we have never blown them out, the reverse is not true as three of the abovementioned games were ass-whippings by a margin of 30 points or more.

I'm more worried about the avalanche of touchdowns they usually score, after the 1st one.

I never feel good about a Navy game. Never.

I fear with our defensive liabilities this could be one of those 45-15 time of possession games that snowballs on us.

That being said, it appears Navy is down a bit this season, so...

ESPN metrics were pretty spot on as I'm not going to count the last two Cincy touchdowns into the thought process but they predicted a Cincy win.

Whereas with Navy, we have a 80.5% vs 19.5% matchup predictor and we have a 14.5 point spread. Navy's defense looks pretty weak especially against the run which hopefully give us an advantage to be able to do more with our playbook. That's what people's analysis said was an issue against Cincy because they easily shut down the run.

I don't see anything scary with Navy as we have seen in the past. My prediction:

45-24 SMU
