Would not be surprised to see the bowls favor local teams as much as possible and although the Frisco bowl is not very $exy, our Mustangs would at least have a chance for redemption after that miserable display against La Tech. I just want to see Sonny get a bowl win...anywhere.

Sounds like a good bowl for this season if we don't make the NY6.

I have such horrible memories of the last Frisco Bowl I am not sure I can take another one. The only good thing about it was sitting at the hotel bar and Mike Ford buying me drinks.

Did he invite you to go fishing with him at his home?

As much as I would hate to go there if we only have 1 loss in the regular season, we really need to get our bowl performance in order before demanding certain bowls. If we have 2 or more losses in the regular season (which is probably going to happen) then Frisco isnt bad. Isn't UAB pretty bad tho?

Either of those are better than playing Carl's Carburetor College in Frisco.

Huh. Would be funny to face TCU in a bowl at the end of the season.

Pommies to this day use "Frisco Bowl" as a synonym for "bad." As in "I'm having a Frisco Bowl day."

If Cincy passes Boise State and plays on New Year's Day, SMU should get the Armed Forces slot, I would think.

Boise is not close to Cincy.

If Cincy wins out, they would clearly be the best of the G5 teams with BYU (if they also win out) a close 2nd, but neither has any chance of sniffing the final four playoff because neither team will play a single P5 opponent. I would love to see SMU finish strong and be matched up against either TCU or Texas Tech in a bowl game. That would be fun.
