This SMU team is NOT a Top 25 team and we knew that after watching Cincinnati manhandle us. Guess what? Tulsa was more physical, too. That was an arse kicking tonight and it was only close because Tulsa spotted us 21 points early.

I just had a bad dream! I dreamed SMU was 21 points ahead in the 2nd Q of a ball game and found a way to lose!

Our secondary continues to have no clue. Tulsa quarterback was mediocre and we made him an all star.

Riley has been a dumpster fire since he got here. We have gotten by on the offense he inherited. Kane has had three years and hasn't done a thing to improve the defense. Every game, 80% of the passes are to wide open receivers.

I agree we need a new OC. Fire Riley and let Sonny take over the offense.

You could tell that SMU wasnt going to win their offense could not move the ball. Little Riley was easily figured out 1) Run 2) Run 3) long throw. Shocking.

When we were up 21 I told my friends I won't feel comfortable until it's 31-0. Sure enough, 31 is all we needed to win and couldn't get there even with the huge lead. Embarrassing!

I thought I was the only one who could predict SMU's play calling!

At this point what do you do wit a 7-2 season? A few years ago and we are celebrating, but now that’s not good enough. Tough [deleted], people are ready to win, you better win. Home town [deleted] ain’t gonna pass anymore.

Out-coached and out-played.

OC played scared after Tulsa handed us a 21 point lead. Just like Cincinnati, Tuksa's DL whipped our OL, Buechele had no time to throw and Tulsa's DBs manhandled our WRs. Big difference was that Buechele was not on target so our WRs didn't have an opportunity to drop balls tonight

Looks like our offense only scored 17 points (our defense scored 7). That isn't going to win any games in our conference.

SMU on third-down conversions: 4-16 Tulsa 10-17.

Small wonder we lost.

By this point in the season in years past, we would all be asking "is it basketball season yet?" At least this team still has something to play for. Beating Houston next week would be a significant "bounce back" win although I'm not sure they have it in them. Winning on the road vs ECU, a team that gave us a homecoming scare last year, will not be easy. Winning a bowl game would be a 1st under Sonny Dykes. Still a lot of football to be played...and hopefully enjoyed.
