What are the chances that SMU-TCU gets rescheduled to this weekend? There were rumors recently that they were trying to find an open date to play, and now both schools are open on 11/21.

From the AAC:

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the postponement of two football games that had been scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 21.

The Houston at SMU and Navy at USF games have been postponed due to positive COVID-19 cases with Houston and USF and the ensuing contact tracing of student-athletes.

The American will consider a number of options with regard to the playing of the contests.

If this game gets rescheduled to 12/12 then that rules out an SMU-TCU game that weekend.

Football season is on shaky ground coming down the stretch. Have to wonder what is going to happen with championship games, bowl games and the Final Four playoffs. This virus isn't going away any time soon and we are just starting into the "sick season". I see they are already talking about March Madness being played in a bubble. I would expect college hoops season to run into more scheduling problems than football has. I think SMU has done really well to have played 9 football games already.

Since USF-Navy is also postponed (due to positive cases at Navy), how about SMU hosting USF Saturday? If USF's equipment truck can get on the road today (I presume they turned it around yesterday), it can be in Dallas by tomorrow. The USF team wasn't traveling until tomorrow anyway.

Read the press release again: " due to positive COVID-19 cases with Houston and USF and the ensuing contact tracing of student-athletes."
