Week 12 games

With SMU vs Houston and Navy vs USF postponed and Tulsa vs Tulane already in the books, today we have ECU vs Temple in a game of little interest, S.F. Austin at Memphis in what should be a lopsided game and Cincinnati at UCF in what is obviously THE game of the week in the AAC.

Indiana vs Ohio State might be interesting and of course I have to check out my 2nd team, Clemson vs FSU. I lived in OKC for 2 years so the bedlam series between OU and OSU is one I might have to check out. With 13 games postponed or cancelled this week, still plenty of college football to entertain us junkies. My neighbor's daughter is on the Coastal Carolina dance team so I will have to check out some of the # 15 ranked Chanticleers vs App State up against Clemson today.

What other games will anyone be watching?

I read somewhere recently that Clemson had one of the highest Covid infection rates on their campus as any school in the country, so I guess these 11th hour postponements shouldn't surprise me. We sent both our kids to Clemson and know how much they enjoyed their experience there. I doubt there is much "social distancing" going on at any college campus these days. I just hope SMU can play a full schedule before this season ends.

Northwestern vs Wisconsin. I feel a little sick to my stomach to be honest.

Yard work weekend for me. Why bother.

Yardwork done. Time for football. Indiana and Northwestern both have huge "opportunity" games today. As expected, Memphis out to the early 14 point lead vs SFA. At least they are playing. Didn't take Arkansas long to become much more competitive. Having a good coach matters. I see they took an early lead vs LSU

Arkansas has 5 DL out with Covid. LSU just pounding them up the middle.

Cincinnati remains perfect after hanging on to beat UCF 36-33.

OU showing the class of being "Big Brother" to OSU...including constant yapping and late hits. Chippy game, and going to be an interesting 4th quarter.

BTW, no SMU football Saturday is both strangely boring and gratefully relaxing....somewhere jtstang is whispering about the dangers of "expectations"...

Northwestern is 5-0 and Penn State is 0-5 so I'm good.
