...in everything we do, football and men’s basketball being the key sports.

In your estimation, how are we doing?

Were not there yet, but were a lot closer than we have been in a long time.

We still need to step it up. Whenever we have played a true Top 25 in football we have been embarrassed so it is pretty apparent we are not there yet. In basketball, we will get our chance to prove ourselves against Houston very soon. We need to schedule better in basketball to be able to demonstrate we have a top 25 team. We have a top 25 type roster, but we need to prove it.

We had a really good schedule for this year which would have been great before everything changed. Hopefully we can keep some of those teams next year.

I had a family member and die hard SMU fan pass away right before the 2019 season. I’m sure if he had known SMU would be ranked in the top 16 two years in a row, sign a top 50 signing class, nearly sell out a game in late November (ECU last year), get college Gameday at a game, beat TCU, and have TCU scared to play us (let’s be honest, their fans/Gary wanted no part of SMU in early September), he would be really bummed out he didn’t get to see that.

Just wait a few more years....
We're not that far away
This year...injuries did us in...we'll be much better next year
As soon as Sonny has his own players
In 2-3 years we'll be challenging for conference titles
The crowds will come
We're going to reach out to Dallas
We're only a few players away...
This recruiting class is the best in years

we're not Top 25, but at least we're ahead of TCU in this poll

Getting better every year! In football we are probably only a class and a half from really making a run.

Go Ponies!

SMU is still 1.5 years away from doing something special in football. In basketball we are on our way to doing it this season and if not probably 4 years away because if we don't accomplish our objectives will probably blow it all up and start fresh.

We're going to have a drop-off in Quarterback play and efficiency in 2021...

Probably but hopefully we see an improved OL and get McDaniel back for more depth in the running game to offset. Going to need some WRs to step up next year

By recent experience, I believe Taco Meat transfers work better than any others. I'll stand by that until proven false.

I would love to be proven false...

and i guess "drop-off" is an extremely broad term....
I am kind of pumped to have a guy like Tanner Mordecai joining the Mustangs.
I'll take all the Texas and OU transfers we can get.
