The sad thing was, he probably would have had a great career long term at SMU, but Hogs came calling and he got $$$ in his eyes. He had some good recruits lined up when he bolted and took them with him. So, now he's set for life and can coach at a level he likes.

SMU did give him his 1st D-I head coaching job and an opportunity to see if he could succeed at the highest level (at Arkansas in the SEC), so he should be grateful

I recall the formal introduction of CM at SMU . The first thing out of his mouth was , what I am is a High School Coach. Turner's reaction was hilarious !

Didn't Chad and Paula keep a house in HP while Chandler was still playing? I'm guessing she didn't move around a lot in terms of home base but maybe moved out to Auburn.
Pretty exciting that he decided to keep coaching instead of just sitting out. It'll be interesting to see where Tom Herman ends up. They were both hired in the AAC in the same year.
