Talked about it Tuesday. Basically, it's a showcase for North Texas recruits. He said "about 1,000" players already have signed up, and he thinks maybe another 1,000 will before it's all said and done. It's a way to get a truckload of players on campus, working with and talking to SMU coaches after such a long time without in-person contact.

Post-practice video, with his comments on this, will be posted shortly.

How awesome!!!

We need to make sure there are tons of Dallas jerseys and Triple D stuff all over the place - at least as much as we can without violating any rules.

Sounds like a good way to evaluate players in a year where it’s hard to evaluate players!

Impressed with the number of schools that are coming also. Interesting way to do player evaluation and recruiting.

Presumably other coaches can watch, but SMU coaches would be the only ones allowed to interact with the players?

If so, this is a genius move by SMU to host this thing.

I can’t imagine we’d have that restriction. It’s just a bonus that it’s on our campus.

Pretty much every coach we have had, at least since Ford Stadium was built, has said that "if we can get them on campus, we have a good chance to land them."

If that's true, we should be looking at a significant uptick in recruiting after this camp.
