\"Junior Day\" at SMU is going to be HUGE this Saturday!!!

Fantastic response as SMU has over 125 juniors on campus this Saturday. Several of the most highly recruited players in the area, including 3 or 4 of our State Top 25 players, will be present. It will be huge and SMU is off to a fabulous start in football recruiting for next year.

Real advantage for SMU to have the players in early to see the greatness of SMU!! Should be a GREAT time for all.

Coach Bennett has said that one of the major keys to landing some of the recruits in the last two classes was having them on campus to attend SMU camps, and that the key to getting them to the camps in many cases was having them at a Junior Day. To this end, Jerry Bennett's new role as High School Liason, or whatever they're calling him, might well be the next-most important job in the program after Coach (Phil) Bennett and Coach Roark as recruiting coordinator. It sounds like these relationships with the high school coaches are more and more vital every day.

As a matter of comparison, if we have 125 coming this weekend, how many attended Junior Day last year?
