"Staubach played college football at the U.S. Naval Academy (1962–65), where as a quarterback he gained 4,253 yards (3,571 yards by passing) and scored 18 touchdowns. He was named All-American and won the Heisman Trophy as the best collegiate player in 1963"

Only 18 huh? Our QBs throw for that in 3 games. :D

We beat Roger and Navy his Heisman year. They were 9-1 going into the Cotton Bowl against Texas. Navy also slaughtered us in 1960 in the Oyster Bowl in Norfolk VA.

Navy came to the Cotton Bowl twice that season and lost both games-to us and Texas.

Saw Staubach and Navy play in 64? in the cotton bowl vs whorens. Asked to go to game with family friend and AD from Ohio St. The AD got tickets via Matty Bell who became friends with him over the years.

SMU 42
Navy 24

You have to admit - their new recruiting video is quite catchy and much higher production value than The Hilltop on ESPN . . .

It was a Friday night game. We sat in the upper deck on the end Navy's cannon was on. The concussion out of that thing when they scored was huge for a 12 year old kid.

As I remember, the game was back and forth all night, and exciting at the end. Anyone have a full report on this huge victory?

I may want to adjust my prediction depending on if Bentley plays.

Siggers is good, but he isnt Ulysses Bentley IV!

Does anyone know if Bentley is playing tomorrow?
Will he play only a handful of plays?
Will he be at 50%, 75%, 90%?

Good deal!

Even a bit of Bentley is better than no Bentley!
