California of all places? Geez.

Frogs got exactly what we got...a good coach.

SMU had our prom date back out on Sunday night to go with "Biff"...it hurts and we are mad. So be it.

We have a new date...focus on that....er, him...uh...

Somehow after writing this attempt at an analogy, I feel kind of weird...

My sources tell me they are thrilled A.J. Ricker is leaving. As the season progressed they came to the conclusion A.J. Ricker is terrible and Lashlee would have fired him anyway.

Pretty much all of our remaining commits are recruited by Ricker. I doubt he is a dud and think it would be very valuable for him to stay.

Funny to see a few of the players bag on the guys that left - either seriously or tongue in cheek:

I do not know why Dykes & Co. were allowed to coach last week. TCU (Dykes, Samp, etc. & recruits) launching a full-on PR blitz.

What they bought was an above average coach.

Fort Worth has a problem with Dallas envy. For a long long time.

This is why they stole an above average coach because he beat
you twice in a row :!: :!:

TCU has a massive inferiority complex and three years of mediocrity have resulted in the firing of a legend and the violation of a long standing gentlemen's agreement not to poach a coach from an in-state peer institution. They overpaid for an above average coach. I can't wait for them to fail. SOBs.

Zach Evans was obviously verrry impressed with the new coaching staff. Didn't take long for him to buy a bus ticket out of Cowtown.

I can’t stand TCU. However, with that said, until recently they have been able to consistently win in a more competitive and visible conference and retain a good/winning coach and competent AD. What a difference a solid AD adds to a successful program. It’s not difficult to figure out the equation.

Today's confirmation on the CBS site must have been written long ago:

Both Samples and Riley will almost certainly receive consideration for the head coaching job at SMU with Dykes' departure, not to mention other Power Five opportunities. Dykes keeping them in the fold would be a coup. Regardless, Dykes has hired extremely well during his time at SMU.
