He was no Redman Hume. Reg was an excellent player, solid, yet his career was sporadic due to injury. Sort of the "second man" to JP early on and to Rashee later. When I think of SMU All-Time great receivers, my list would include Proche, Sanders, Robinson, Sutton, Cole, DJ, ET, Ron and Jerry...with good being Reg, Wolf, Quinn, Johnson, etc...#IWillNowGoGetALife

Pre-injury, I'm thinking he was the best pure speed receiver (while still having good hands) that SMU has had in the last 20 years. Maybe throw Aldrick Robinson into that mix as well.

I'm not going to look up stats, but I guessing they will say Sutton/Proche/Sanders/Beasley were better receivers. I maintain Roberson would be in that company had he stayed healthy. He will be missed for the bowl game, but good luck to him.

Aldrick Robinson was the fastest Mustang I have ever seen in any sport.

I totally agree. Just look at that game against Memphis where he got injured. Had 5 catches for 243 and 2 touchdowns. Wish him nothing but the best.

He was absolutely GREAT when he was healthy. He clearly wasn't full speed this year. I hope he gets back to his best by the time the combine rolls around. If I were him, I would opt out of the senior bowl as well.

Robinson had great straight line speed, but he isn't the comp. Roberson when healthy had the athleticism of Sanders, with more top-line speed.

Rice and Goffney should have big games and an opportunity for Daniels and Upshaw to be productive. Just hope SMU doesn't implode and get blown out in yet another bowl game

What other great players had Mustang careers derailed or interrupted by injury? Charles Waggoner comes to mind...outstanding Frosh year.

I remember that Waggoner looked like the best of the trio before his injury
