We are excited about our two NIL programs, our investment in enhancing Ford, our academic standing, and our quarter of billion dollars in new facilities, e.g., IPF, new Soccer Complex, new Aquatic Center, etc. and brag about it.

If football success was the only factor, Boise would not be on the outside looking in.

We have reached the point that the broadcast, cable and satellite networks will call the shots. The conferences will follow their dictates (within reason) because the broadcasters control the purse strings. Women's sports are an afterthought and nothing more in this current dynamic and will not play a role in conference realignment.

Why would we spend one dollar of NIL on women’s sports - they do nothing to help us in this arena. Title 9 is fine - provides for scholarship equity - but when it comes to an NIL collective we are in it to win it - anything going to a women athlete is taking away from securing a better male athlete that supports our program - its win or die at this point and if we cant sustain athletics at a higher conference level we will end up having a ton fewer female athletes.

Wrong. NIL or not, P5 conferences value competitive Women sports. If we want to be viewed big time, we want our Women and Men BB and Non-revenue sports to compete at the highest level.

Funneling NIL dollars to women’s sports would be a total waste of those funds. That doesnt mean we dont want competitive women’s sports - But we arent P5 - were trying to get P5. Once we are our athletic dept revenue would at minimum go up 3X - probably well more. The best way to fund a diverse and competitive offering of all sports is by elevating the sports that people will pay to watch - and that is only men’s sports at any meaningful level.

in regards to our Women + non-FB/BB sports, i feel confident that PAC & ACC value our facilities, which are Top-Notch, over what we as a G5 school are paying our non-revenue generating athletes.

1) the women do get money - I believe we pay cost of living expenses to women's sports scholarship folks, and it is a decent chunk of change, more than other universities offer.

2) I'll be a contrarian and argue that between Cost of Living and the 36K, our football and men's basketball players are taking in over $50K per year already. An incremental raise on top of that won't have much impact. However, if we do raise more money and use that to cover all athletes at the school, that will be a gigantic, very positive media story that will do much more for the University than adding another 10K to the wallets of the men's teams. Just a thought.
