Temple got smoked at Duke 30-0 and future conference mate UNC-Charlotte lost their 2nd game of the young season...this one at home vs William & Mary (after getting whipped last week at future conference mate FAU). TCU's strong 2nd half allowed them to pull away from the PAC-12's predicted last place team

Temple looked terrible. But they did run into a Duke team that they could not have expected to look that well coached, error free, and, well, good. But I think Tempke really is terrible and the unbalanced AAC schedule will favor teams that play them this year.

Former UVA coach Mike London is at W&M now and no one is predicting a big (FCS big) year for the Tribe; Charlotte must be terrible as well.

That Duke team was picked to finish last in their division so very telling about what Temple has. Meanwhile, Navy outgained FCS Delaware but lost 14-7 today while ECU missed both a PAT and FG at the end of their game with NCSU and lost 21-20

Tulsa leading at Wyoming 20-17 late in the 1st half and Maryland beat Buffalo 31-10 with Tagovailoa hitting 24-34 for 290 yards

Cincy down 14-0 vs Arkansas and Houston down 14-7 vs UTSA. Go Roadrunners!

Houston, Cincy & Tulsa all playing in close games. Houston and Tulsa are tied and Cincy down 7

Tulane destroys UMass 42-10 in New Orleans

Memphis down 21-3 at Miss State and has been outgained 222-21 only 20 minutes into that weather delayed game

The Duke that was predicted to come in last did not show up on Friday. A totally unproven quarterback had a stellar debut and the team had zero turnovers and only four penalties (none procedural). A&M may come to miss Elko. And Temple may not be that bad.

USF is bad, though. And it’s rough that ECU couldn’t beat NC State.

I felt bad for the ECU kicker, Had a chance to redeem himself and be the hero but he was just destined to be the goat of that game. Would have been a nice win for the AAC

We still have a conference tough schedule. Cincy gave Arkansas a good game. UCF is good. Houston is no slouch. Memphis is always a threat. Tulsa always shows up for us as does Tulane. We have to wear our big boy pants to win the conference. Even if we win in regular season, we have to play one of those teams again in the final. On the other hand, all of these teams are beatable if we play to our abilities.

No question about it. The AAC is a pretty good conference this year but as we all know we will be losing 3 of the top 5 teams to the Big XII making this year more important than ever for SMU to compete for the championship instead of pulling a JJ/Chad/Sonny and rolling over come November

UCF looks horrible. Bad coaching, bad execution. Wanted them to win so it would be a better win for us. If UCF plays against us like they played tonight we'll win by 50.
