Did SMU f-up not retaining Sonny? TCU is looking great. I just hope this shows SMU isn't that bad, and we can still win AAC.

Remember Sonny said he decided to leave SMU because he had taken the program as far as he thought he could. Remains to be seen if Lashlee can be the guy who gets SMU back to winning games in November, competing for championships and winning bowl games, something Sonny could not accomplish at SMU.

Our conference is really weak. I think Tulane, cincy and maybe UCF are the only competitors. We should/could beat them all. To be fair TCU is annihilating OU and Maryland barely lost to Michigan. UCF game will be a great launching pad of how we navigate a very weak conference.

That OU defense is making Max Duggan look like a heisman contender

TCU is absolutely destroying a vastly over rated OU team that lost to Kansas State in Norman. That same KSU team lost in Manhattan to Tulane, who of course won in Houston last night. It all begs the questions: how good is TCU? how good is Tulane? how good is this SMU team?

Meanwhile, our other division foe Memphis woke up in the 2nd half and is up 24-3 over hapless Temple

Hate to say it but the American is looking baaaaad this year. Pretty much everyone is down except perhaps Tulane and ECU. Fun belt is far more competitive in my opinion this season. If I had to tier the conference:

Top contenders : UCF, cinci, SMU
Conference champ wildcards: ECU Tulane Tulsa UH (at this point)
Bad but still have a pulse: Memphis, Navy
Absolutely terrible : Temple USF

Oh the age old argument and cognitive dissonance that is transference. Maryland is better than what everyone thought and clearly TCU is as well. I pray to God we run the table and all the rats that wanted to jump ship on our team that try to call themselves fans shut their face.

Kentucky snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, losing to Ole Miss 22-19 when they have a TD called back for a motion penalty and Ole Miss causes a fumble on the next play. Bentley does not get a single carry as the frosh RB leads the way today. Have to wonder how he is feeling about his decision to transfer to Oxford

ECU up 41-7 at halftime in Tampa. USF players could understandably be having a hard time focusing on football today but they certainly look like a team we can pencil in a W against later this season.

ECU up 48-28 at USF and Ahlers has thrown for 445 yards and 6 TDs. I remember our game against them that turned into a track meet at Ford. I think that was his 1st year as ECU's QB
